How Much Does a Website Cost in Goa? (2026 Guide)
Short version: a real business website in Goa or India in 2026 ranges from about ₹15,000 for a basic template site to ₹1,50,000+ for a custom-built one. The gap is huge because "a website" can mean wildly different things. Here's what actually sits behind the number.
The honest price bands
Every quote is really one of these four things in disguise:
- ₹0–8,000 — DIY (Wix, GoDaddy, a Linktree). You build it. Fine for a placeholder; it will look like a placeholder.
- ₹15,000–40,000 — a template site. A freelancer drops your logo and photos into a WordPress or Wix theme. Fast and cheap. The catch: it looks like every other business that bought the same theme, and it's usually slow.
- ₹50,000–1,20,000 — a custom-designed site. Built for your brand from scratch, fast, with proper structure for Google. This is where most serious restaurants, hotels and growing brands land.
- ₹1,50,000+ — custom with motion, 3D, video, or e-commerce. The kind of site people screenshot and remember.
What actually drives the price
Five things move the number more than anything else:
1. Custom design vs. a template
A template is the single biggest cost-saver — and the single biggest reason a site looks generic. Custom design is most of what you're paying for in the higher bands. (We wrote a whole piece on this trade-off: custom-coded vs template websites.)
2. Number of pages
A sharp one-page site for a restaurant costs far less than a 15-page hotel site with rooms, packages and a booking flow. Pay for the pages that earn their keep, not a sitemap that looks impressive.
3. Content & photography
Good photos and clear copy make or break a site. If you have them, you save money. If you don't, budget for them — a beautiful site with bad photos still looks cheap.
4. Motion, video and 3D
Scroll-scrubbed video, animation and 3D are what make a site feel premium and memorable. They take real engineering, so they sit at the top of the range — but they're often what wins a customer who's comparing you to three other places.
5. Who builds it
A ₹15,000 freelancer and a ₹1,00,000 studio are not buying you the same thing. The cheap option usually means a theme, slow load times, no SEO structure, and you on your own afterward. The studio price buys design, speed, search visibility, and someone who answers when something breaks.
The hidden costs nobody quotes
The build is a one-time cost. These are ongoing — ask about them upfront:
- Domain — ₹700–1,500/year (e.g. a
.co.in). - Hosting — ₹0 to a few thousand a year. A modern site on an edge platform like Vercel can host for free at small scale and stay fast.
- Email — a professional
you@yourbrand.comvia Google Workspace is ~₹130/user/month. - Edits & upkeep — will you pay per change, or is a window of edits included? This is where cheap quotes get expensive later.
So what should you pay?
A simple rule: spend in proportion to what a customer is worth to you. If one new client, booking or table is worth thousands, a slow ₹15,000 template that turns visitors away is the expensive option — not the ₹80,000 site that converts them. The cheapest website is rarely the one with the smallest invoice.
For most Goa restaurants, cafés and hotels, the sweet spot is a custom-designed, fast, single-purpose site in the ₹50k–1.2L range — enough to look like nobody else and load instantly, without paying for pages you'll never use.
