App development company in Goa

Cloudworks is an app development company in Goa that builds web and mobile apps for businesses, such as booking, ordering, billing and dashboards. We build in stages and give a fixed quote before work starts, so you know the cost up front.

What we build

We build web and mobile apps for businesses: software that your customers or your staff open on a phone, tablet or computer to get something done. Booking, ordering, dashboards and customer portals are the usual starting points.

Most apps fall into one of three groups:

  • Staff apps. Tools your team uses all day, such as a billing app on the counter phone.
  • Customer apps. Places where customers book, order or pay for themselves, in a browser or on their phone.
  • Owner dashboards and admin panels. The web screens where you see orders, stock and sales without asking anyone.

We also take software ideas from concept to a working product that people can sign up for and pay for, which suits startups.

This page is about apps, the screens people use. The systems that run the back office, such as billing, inventory and reporting, are covered on our custom software page, and chat and phone automation is on our WhatsApp bots and AI automation page. Many projects mix all three, and we say which part is which when we quote.

App or website?

A website tells people about your business. An app lets people do something: log in, place an order, enter a sale, see their own data. If visitors only read, you need a website, and our website design service is the place to start. If they log in, enter data or place orders, you need an app.

Then there are two kinds of app to choose between:

  • A web app opens in a browser, so there is nothing to install and the same link works on a phone and a computer.
  • A mobile app is installed on the phone. It is usually the right choice when the app has to use the phone’s hardware, such as a Bluetooth printer, or keep working without internet.

Our restaurant billing app, QuickBill, uses both. The owner gets a web dashboard, each outlet gets its own login, and an Android app prints receipts to a Bluetooth thermal printer.

A web developer can build a web app, and ours do. That side of the work, sites and portals built in code, is on our web development page. Start here when the app itself is the product.

How an app project runs

Every app follows the same four stages we use for all our work, with a fixed quote agreed before work starts, so you know the number up front.

  1. Brief. A short call about your business, who will use the app and what it has to do. No prep needed. Apps are bigger than a website, so the brief is longer and we write the scope down before building.
  2. Interactive design. A working preview of the screens, so you click through the app instead of imagining a mockup.
  3. Build. We build it in code, in stages you can test along the way. You watch it come together in a live preview and see working software early, instead of trusting a plan.
  4. Launch. We put it live, hand over full ownership and stay available for changes.

How long it takes

Most websites go from brief to live in about two weeks. Apps are bigger, so we do not quote one timeline for all of them. We agree the timeline with you before work starts, not after, and because the app ships in stages you see working screens early.

The things that stretch an app are more screens, more kinds of user, offline use, payments, hardware and connections to other systems. Tell us which of those apply on the first call and the plan gets sharper straight away.

What it costs

We do not publish a price for apps. One app can be a handful of screens; another can have a login for every outlet, offline use and a printer. After a short call we give a fixed quote.

What moves the cost most:

  • Screens and features. More screens and more rules mean more to design, build and test.
  • Users and logins. An owner, outlet staff and customers each need their own view.
  • Offline use. An app that keeps working when the internet drops is a bigger build than one that does not.
  • Payments and hardware. Taking money or printing to a Bluetooth printer adds work.
  • Other systems. Links to accounts, messaging or your existing tools.
  • Web only, or web and mobile. Each place the app has to run adds work.

If what you need is a website and not an app, our Goa website cost guide has the published price bands.

Proof: apps we have built

  • QuickBill is an offline-first restaurant billing app that we built for a restaurant client running a central kitchen and outlets. We keep that client’s name private. The owner has a web dashboard and each outlet has its own login. Staff can make a bill with one tap on a shortcut. It works offline and backs up to the cloud. Its Android app prints 80 mm receipts to a Bluetooth thermal printer. It handles GST and service charges, keeps a cash ledger, and deducts stock for each dish sold.
  • GreenSure Daily is the web side of a real store, for a daily vegetable delivery business in Goa. Customers use a wallet-based checkout, and the team uses a custom admin panel for orders and stock. We designed it, built it and still run it, and it is live in production with real customers.

Who this is for in Goa

We build for restaurants, cafes, hotels, real estate, retail, startups and brands, anywhere a well-built app earns trust and saves hours. We serve Margao, Panaji, Mapusa, Vasco and the rest of Goa, and we work with clients online, so you can start with a call wherever you are.

An app makes sense when a task keeps repeating: the same orders, bookings or bills, entered by hand or lost in messages. If a plain website would do the job, we will tell you, and it will cost you less.

Cloudworks is a studio of seven plus interns, founded in 2024 and based in Goa. We take on a handful of projects at a time, so each one gets full attention, and we reply to every enquiry within a day.

Questions people ask

How much does app development cost in India?

We do not publish one price. The cost turns on the number of screens, which platforms it must run on (the web, Android or both), the kinds of user and their logins, and whether it must work offline. After a short call we give a fixed quote before work starts, so you know the number up front.

How long does app development take?

It depends on the size of the app, so we do not promise one timeline. A website is usually live in about two weeks. An app takes longer, and each extra platform, type of user or offline need adds to it. It ships in stages you can test along the way, and we agree the timeline with you upfront, before work starts.

What are the 7 stages of app development?

A common list is idea and research, planning and scope, design, development, testing, launch and ongoing support. Cloudworks runs them as four stages: a brief, an interactive design preview, the build in stages you can test, and launch with full ownership handed over. You get a fixed quote before work starts.
